It is “that time” again, where everything happens at the same time, topped off with stuff you have been putting off… it’s not like I haven’t been swamped before, and things could get busier still… Continue reading
Baker Beach, San Francisco. May, 2005. Khailee the Malaysian midget attempts to take down a Russian Bear. Can he do it?? Spot the Golden Gate Bridge in the background?
A Gmail web clip ad was shown to me moments ago that shocked me a bit.
Does its content-reading algorithms really understand me based on data from my emails, my pages cached by Google Web Accelerator, and my searches? Or is the ad a mere coincidence? As much as I know it is the latter, it is fun to imagine otherwise.
What did this ad say?
Ever been involved in any student organisations?
I found this site I discovered back in Sydney. It’s got a lot of helpful stuff for kids who are new at it. If you have no need for it, please forward it to any cousin, sibling or whatever who are active in student oranisations.
Do you think a Malaysian Clubs and Societies Resource is needed? Is there one already?
John Mayer commented at Dion Hinchcliff’s Web2.0 blog a while back, about universities paying its faculty to use the internet to collaboratively write open-source textbooks, which can be accessed, downloaded, printed, and shared by students for free.
I’d love to discuss this. Anyone thinks this idea has potential? Why, or rather, why not? Continue reading
. . . It seems the ruthless serial killer has struck again.
The victim, a gold-colored fish I will call GoldieHawn, was not in the pond this morning when I checked. GoldieHawn was last seen 2 days ago swimming happily in the pond.
Although the killer was wise enough not to leave behind a spine, and hang out at the crime scene this time around, (see previous episode) my detective-instincts tells me GoldieHawn is dead. The killer is taking my fish out one by one…
What I need is a plan. How do you catch an enemy that won’t come when you are there? Set a trap? Find the beast at his lair? How do I keep my fish safe in the meantime? I can’t cover my pond forever…
This is an artist’s impression of the killer.
This is a message for YOU, bub!! I know you are reading this, YOU.. you.. you’re probably snickering at me right now huh? Through your.. your ugly mouth… Goddammit… If I find out you even touched GoldieHawn.. I will… you.. YOU F&$@ER!! I will rape.. turn your loved ones into handbags!! CHEAP HANDBAGS DAMMIT!! You hear me? Huh? You.. you…. *ahem*. Um, guys please leave a comment if you have information that may assist investigations.
In unrelated news, I just completed my first week at MindValley. I have been given a new assignment for next week, related to the future of blogging. Will talk more about it next week.
Which book should I publish?
“Chicken Soup for Your Lazy Ass” – Real life stories of people who don’t take charge of their lives and suffer a great deal for it. OR “1001 Feel-Good Quotes to Make You Smile and Not Do Anything To Help Yourself”. Continue reading
It feels like my first day of school… new people, new stuff to do, and blind optimism? Time will tell.
Every morning I would walk to the small pond at the back of my house to feed my fish. This morning, I was met with horror…
… who could have done such a thing? The neighbour’s cat? Bigfoot in Johor? What beast? What immortal hand or eye?
I had to piece the clues together. Continue reading
HAVE A LOOK I just whipped up a new theme I am personally not so satisfied with, because I didn’t get to use the evil colours I love… but it’s okay. I will use it to redesign my site or someone else’s another day.
I also did 3 artsy banners. Here are the mini versions of what is on the site itself.
On the actual site, they rotate when u refresh every now and then. Apperently, rotating banners confused people. We are now left with the monkey. Also, I cannot imagine how anyone can like the previous site better. GO SEE IT NOW.
p/s: Everytime I design, I get reminded how much I hate Internet Explorer. Download Firefox now, and experience the web for real.
