S’kali!

When Malaysian youth chase their dreams with diligence… WE MUST SUPPORT THEM!!

Or else… Malaysia will soon lose its soul… become a mattress full of yawning cats petted by robots whose only goal in life is wealth accumulation.

It reads: Love. Life. Friendship. I have no doubt it will be awesome, mostly because of the talent behind it (friends + ex-schoolmates). Read the article in theStar.

But what is the show about?

“It’s an ensemble film, really, about five friends and that period in their lives when they are finishing their studies and, basically, growing up.

From the heart, I wish them my best. Also from the heart, giving my full support, I will also give them honesty… If you want people to talk about your film… give them a reason.

Whats the unique selling proposition? Wheres the “hook”? Where is the attention grabbing, curiousity arousing, sticky message people will want to talk about with or without watching the show?

I am a complete idiot (just like most passive consumers), so, I don’t know. But because I care to want to know (unlike passive consumers) I read all the posts in their PRODUCTION BLOG. And I gather the show is about friendship, and will pull some Malaysian heartstrings. If I had a girlfriend who knows she might drag me to see it.

Right now, the plan is to screen the film at Golden Screen Cinemas (GSC) digital projection theatre in Mid Valley Megamall, Kuala Lumpur, and the GSC theatre in Penang and the filmmakers are looking at an August release date for the film.

Perhaps I speak too soon.

Maybe they will start attacking people the right way, when the time is right. TheStar Article may only be an early teaser, to build up a promotional climax when the release date approaches?

For now, WE MUST HELP THEM : Blog about the show, watch the show, check out the links in this post, post your comments / feedback constructively – we must help them succeed!

Yea, you’re right. It is just the teaser and there’s more in store. We need to confirm the involvement of some corporate partners for marketing support before we engage and attack the Malaysian public.

Thanks for the shout out and input. Creating value as always.
